Healing through genuine connection
Do you often feel like you're holding it all together on the outside, while internally you're running on empty—exhausted from masking what you're really experiencing? If so, you're not alone, and you're in the right place. I specialize in the assessment and treatment of adult ADHD and PTSD, two conditions that can be mentally and emotionally draining, particularly when they go unrecognized or misunderstood. If you're wondering whether either of these may apply to you, I offer comprehensive evaluations using a combination of screening tools, in-depth clinical interviews, and a review of your academic and occupational history to help bring clarity and direction.
With nearly a decade of clinical experience, my goal is to help you reclaim authorship of your life story and move toward a more empowered and authentic version of yourself. I tailor therapy to your individual strengths, needs, and learning style. This may include providing education to better understand your diagnosis, collaborative work with loved ones to build supportive systems, and integration of real-world strategies to create sustainable change. My therapeutic style is also shaped by a strong foundation in the arts. As a former pottery teacher, I bring a grounded ability to help clients cultivate patience and balance while learning new skills. Academically, I studied both psychology and poetry, which continues to inform my work through a deep appreciation for emotional nuance, multiple perspectives, and creative communication.
If you're interested in working together, please reach out via my contact form to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation. Click on the "Contact" button above and include a brief summary (2–3 sentences) about your background and goals for therapy, and the best way and time to reach you. Currently, I am only offering online evening and weekend appointments for adults located anywhere in Virginia. In addition, I am an out-of-network provider at this time. If you choose to seek out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance, I can provide necessary documentation, but it’s your responsibility to determine what is required. You may also pay out-of-pocket, which allows for increased confidentiality and control over your treatment plan.
